Abstract. The issue raised in the scientific article «Innovative Technologies in Political Communication: Prospects and Challenges» is relevant and topical, it is a short but sufficient question for understanding and debate. This study examines the impact of new technologies on political communication and democratic processes. The author explores how modern innovative technologies such as social networks, instant messengers and online platforms have changed the way politicians and citizens interact. The article also analyzes some of the challenges associated with the use of new technologies, such as the spread of fake news and digital attacks on elections. Finally, the author discusses the prospects for using innovative technologies to strengthen democratic processes and increase citizen participation in political affairs. This article will be useful for everyone who is interested in modern trends in political communication and democracy. The article also covers topics related to the effectiveness and limitations of new technologies in political communication, their impact on the formation of public opinion and decision-making. The author considers examples of the use of new technologies in various countries and highlights the main trends and challenges that may arise when using new technologies in political communication. The researcher’s personal position regarding the phenomenon under study is expressed, scientific tasks are formulated for further disclosure of the raised research topic. This article is an important contribution to the study of the use of innovative technologies in political communication and can be useful for politicians, researchers, journalists and anyone interested in current trends in politics and society.
