Etiquette of Uzbek hospitality in national weddings

Abstract. This theme reflects the deep cultural roots and historical heritage of the Uzbek people, emphasizing the importance of hospitality as a symbol of respect and friendliness. Studying these aspects allows for a better understanding of Uzbek culture and helps strengthen intercultural ties.

The article discusses the features of Uzbek hospitality, manifested in traditional wedding ceremonies. Uzbek weddings, representing a bright and colorful event, reflect the rich cultural and historical traditions of Uzbekistan. The main focus is on the following aspects:

1. Wedding Preparation: describes the stages of preparation for the wedding ceremony, including inviting guests, preparing food, and decorating the house. Particular attention is paid to the symbolic meaning of each element of preparation.
2. Ceremony and Rituals: the key aspects of the wedding ceremony are covered, such as the exchange of vows, blessings from elders and the performance of various rituals symbolizing the unity of the two families. Particular attention is paid to the meaning of each ritual in the context of Uzbek culture.
3. The role of hospitality: the role of hospitality in wedding celebrations is analyzed. Traditional ways of greeting and treating guests are described, as well as the importance of hospitality as an important aspect of social interaction and cultural identity.
4. Etiquette and customs: the etiquette standards observed at Uzbek weddings are discussed in detail. Rules of conduct for guests and hosts are described, including respect for elders, the obligation to provide mutual assistance and maintain a friendly atmosphere.
5. Evolution of traditions: discusses the changes occurring in wedding traditions under the influence of modern life and globalization. It analyzes how elements of traditional hospitality are preserved and adapted in a changing society.

The article concludes that Uzbek hospitality at weddings is an important element of cultural heritage that helps strengthen family and community ties. The authors emphasize the need to preserve and pass on these traditions to future generations, despite the changes taking place in the modern world.
