Abstract. In recent decades, Uzbekistan has taken significant measures to reform its education system and stimulate innovation. This article examines the main trends and directions of development of education and innovation in Uzbekistan, and also analyzes their prospects.

The article begins with an overview of the current state of the education system in Uzbekistan, including school, secondary vocational and higher education. Key reforms aimed at modernizing educational programs, improving the quality of teaching and increasing the accessibility of education for various segments of the population are considered. Particular attention is paid to the introduction of information technology into the educational process and the development of distance learning, which has become especially relevant in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It further examines the innovation initiatives being undertaken in the country, including the creation of technology parks, startup incubators and research centers. The role of the state in supporting innovation, as well as the participation of the private sector and international organizations, is analyzed. The impact of these initiatives on the economy and society as a whole is assessed.

The article also discusses the main challenges facing the education system and innovation sector of Uzbekistan, such as the lack of qualified personnel, limited financial resources and the need to improve the legislative framework. Possible ways to overcome these problems and strategic directions for development in the coming years are proposed.

The final part of the article is devoted to the prospects for the development of education and innovation in Uzbekistan. It is predicted that, subject to continued active government support and international cooperation, the country will be able to significantly improve the quality of education and create favorable conditions for innovation, which, in turn, will contribute to sustainable economic growth and improve the living standards of the population.

Thus, this article provides a comprehensive analysis of current trends and prospects for the development of education and innovation in Uzbekistan, highlighting the importance of these areas for the future of the country.
