The image of patriotism among Russian youth and ways to solve the problem through the analysis and reform of educational legislation

Abstract. The issue of perception of the image of patriotism by Russian youth raised in the scientific article is relevant, it is a short question, but sufficient for understanding and debate, and corresponds to the direction of research in the specialty Political institutions, processes, technologies. The author conducts a comparative analysis of the main conceptual apparatus of the work, explores the interpretations of «patriot» and «patriotism» in various dictionaries and sources, which allows him to draw a conclusion about the main associative reactions to the object under study. A comparative analysis of the perception of patriotism by different age groups is carried out on the basis of a study by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion. The author identifies problem areas for research and puts forward his own methodology for analyzing the situation. Much attention is paid to the updated educational legislation of the Russian Federation, since the primary socialization of the individual and the worldview foundation are built in educational state institutions. The author identifies 5 main areas for quantitative and qualitative analysis of the above document. An attempt has been made to generalize the current state of the phenomenon under consideration and to offer original conclusions that reflect an individual approach and the author’s position in relation to the analyzed process. Based on the analysis, a patriotic map was compiled that reflects the results of the study and the ratio of directions, which allows us to put forward a hypothesis about the need to reform legislation to more fully reflect patriotism and increase the effectiveness of educating patriotic sentiments among young people in educational organizations. To do this, the author proposes a new method of algorithmization of work in this direction, by attracting modern methods and scientific and technological progress. In conclusion, the author notes that at this stage of historical development, educational work is not carried out comprehensively and has a number of problems, and in the future, «the process of forming patriotic feelings among young people will continue in the context of permanent changes in the world order».
