Abstract. This article examines the development of political culture among Russian youth in the context of the constitutional ban on state or mandatory ideology and the digitalization of public life. Based on an analysis of the historical and legal context and contemporary sociological data, the phenomenon of ideological nihilism and the transformation of youth value orientations are examined. It is shown that the digital environment, on the one hand, accelerates political socialization, and on the other, contributes to the fragmentation of consciousness through the mechanisms of «algocracy» and «echo chambers». It concludes that it is necessary to develop targeted educational and communication strategies to foster a conscious civic position among young people in contemporary Russia. It is emphasized that despite the absence of an official state ideology, the state can and should raise the level of political culture among citizens through education, culture, and the media. Digitalization creates new opportunities and challenges for political education. It is noted that social media and bloggers shape an emotional and fragmented perception of information, platform algorithms limit access to diverse viewpoints, political content is increasingly perceived through entertainment, and digital technologies open new avenues for active participation in society. The author emphasizes the importance of developing educational programs that help young people develop critical thinking and a conscious attitude toward current events, thereby fostering mature and responsible civic engagement.
