Rethinking the features of the image of the national conservative forces in France and the context of the process

Abstract. The author of the article analyzes the image of national conservative forces in France, the growth of their popularity, as well as trends in the socia-political space in the conditions of crisis phenomena. Despite the victory of Emmanuel Macron in the presidential elections of 2022, the success of the National Conservatives — Marine Le Pen (Rassemblement National) and Eric Zemmour (Reconquista Party) reflect a new stage in the political process in France. The results of the National Assembly elections confirm the trend towards fragmentation in the political life of the French Republic. Meanwhile, right-wing forces are successfully using the expansion of topics in programs, attracting new supporters by softening rhetoric and updating political actions. For example, the National Association and Marine Le Pen speak out on economic issues related to purchasing power, criticize pension reform, analyze the state of industry in the country and offer their solutions. In addition to current events, the author of the article examines the rebranding of the party that happened in 2018, its implementation and consequences. Marine Le Pen managed to implement an image project, which further significantly improved the status of the Rassemblement National.

To sum up the images of the right-wing forces are mainly based on the ideas of the elevation of the national interests of France, the emphasis on the failures of migration policy, as well as responding to crisis phenomena in socio-political processes by creating an alternative agenda relative to the current elite. The author predicts that with the deepening crisis, the success of the political alternative in the form of national conservative forces will increase.
