The concept and signs of corruption and corruption crime in the electoral process

Abstract. The purpose of this work is to analyze and classify corruption manifestations, as well as their connection with the electoral process, in order to identify the most effective anti-corruption measures in the election system. The article uses methods of system analysis, descriptive method, classification method.
Corruption in the electoral process is a specific form of political corruption and has its own characteristics, such as the sphere of existence, subjects and corruption goals. The paper presents the main subjects, forms and causes of corruption in the electoral process.
One of the main forms of corruption in the electoral process is the bribery and venality of the subjects of the electoral process. Also, some of these forms are associated with the use of their status, official position out of self-interest or other personal interest.
Crime in the electoral process associated with corruption is an independent socio-political phenomenon that poses an increased danger to the development of the democratic foundations of the state and its national security. Therefore, it is important to develop effective measures to counter this phenomenon.
In conclusion, the analysis and classification of corruption manifestations in the electoral process is an important task to ensure the integrity and transparency of elections. The results of this work can be used to develop strategies and measures to combat corruption in the electoral system, which contributes to strengthening democratic principles and national security of the state.
