Abstract. The issue raised in the scientific article «Social networks as a tool for the formation and promotion of the political image of the leader of the region» is relevant and topical, it is a short but sufficient question for understanding and debate. The article considers social networks as a tool for the formation and promotion of the political image of the head of the region. Attention is focused on the current state of the political development of society, the positions and opinions of political scientists are studied, taking into account the socio-cultural and political life of our society in the context of the problem raised. It is indicated that social networks are a powerful tool for connecting with people and disseminating information about an individual, service or company. Social networks are an effective tool for the formation and promotion of a political image. They allow politicians to easily and quickly reach a wide audience, influence public opinion and win the support of voters. The researcher’s personal position regarding the phenomenon under study is expressed, scientific tasks are formulated for further disclosure of the raised research topic. Publication of information about yourself, your views and positions helps to create a political image and attract the attention of voters. The creation of profiles and pages in social networks is a necessary part of the formation of a political image. Politicians should use social media to promote themselves and their ideas, build their popularity and gain voter support. The conclusions drawn and the proposals formulated in the work will help to compare the picture of the object of study under study in the future, which will help in the future to determine the tasks and develop tools for conducting quantitative and qualitative empirical research.
