Abstract. This article examines how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, developed in esports, can be used to create virtual actors (simulacra) online. Their potential impact on political discourse and the formation of a distorted information environment is explored. The author notes that in the foreseeable future, political and social narratives optimized and disseminated by AI systems may become (or are already becoming) a tool of «soft power» in the hands of states and corporations, capable of conveying certain ideologies, including through gaming environments and esports events. Information influence is already acquiring critical strategic significance, and its long-term consequences remain to be assessed. It is emphasized that the risks associated with the creation of a controlled, simulated reality, where the perception of events is shaped not by facts but by hidden algorithms, are quite real, and therefore it is important to prevent people, guided by AI agents, from becoming simulacra themselves. The conclusion is drawn about the need to develop measures that could limit potential risks, as well as actively develop legal frameworks and ethical standards governing the creation and use of artificial intelligence in the public sphere.
