Abstract. Personal behavior norms in mature age are a set of socially acceptable and expected actions based on social, cultural and individual factors. A person’s assimilation of behavioral norms accepted in a particular society is based on the key functions of this process: socialization and motivation of the individual, integration into the social environment. The study of these norms is important for understanding the processes of socialization, personal development and human adaptation to various life situations. The article considers key aspects of personality behavior in mature age, including the role of social institutions, family relationships and professional activity. Of great importance in this issue is the definition of the age boundaries of the stage under consideration, which determine the key new formations of the personality, and also affect the characteristics of a person’s relationship with the social environment. Particular attention is paid to issues of self-regulation, stress resistance and conflict resolution strategies. The analysis is based on modern scientific research and theories, including the works of domestic and foreign authors. The results of the study allow us to identify the main trends and patterns in the behavior of an individual in adulthood, as well as to offer recommendations for optimizing personal growth and social functioning. Personal growth is considered as a necessary indicator of personality development in adulthood, determining the further development of a person, the features of his development as a professional, achieving an optimal level of personal development, and revealing creative potential. Thus, the article contributes to the development of the psychology of maturity, helping to more deeply understand the mechanisms that control human behavior at this age stage.
