Also conduct an analysis of nationalism in international relations. Nationalism in international relations is one of the most important factors influencing the interaction between states. Nationalism can manifest itself in various forms, from cultural nationalism based on a shared identity to political nationalism that implies national independence and state sovereignty. In international relations, nationalism can lead to various consequences, including conflicts and wars. National interests may collide with the interests of other states, leading to tensions and conflicts. In addition, nationalism can lead to the creation of blocs of countries united by a common identity, which can lead to an increase in the geopolitical significance of these groupings. However, nationalism can also play a constructive role in international relations, especially when it is based on dialogue and cooperation. An important aspect of nationalism in international relations is its influence on international organizations. Some states may use their national interests to block or limit the actions of international organizations, which may lead to their weakening and reduction of their role in solving international problems. Thus, nationalism is an important factor in international relations and can play both a positive and a negative role in their development. Understanding the role of nationalism in international relations is essential to understanding how states interact with each other and how international problems can be solved. It is important to note that nationalism can be used as a means of political manipulation, especially during periods of political instability. Political leaders may use nationalist slogans to garner national unity and popular support for political gain. This can lead to conflicts and deterioration of international relations.

Keywords: nationalism; international relations; national protectionism; nationalist states; UN; UNESCO; political manipulation

Naumova Elena Olegovna Russian State Social University, Moscow, Russia E-mail: naumovaeo02@mail.ru Abstract.
