Abstract. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the impact of the organization of a home workplace on the academic performance of schoolchildren. The author has reviewed the modern literature on the factors determining academic achievement, with an emphasis on the external conditions of the educational environment. The research is relevant in the context of the expansion of forms of distance and hybrid learning, when optimizing the conditions for independent learning becomes critically important. The article examines the external motivating factors influencing the learning process. Special attention is paid to the analysis of organizational aspects of the home workspace, such as the physical location, noise level, natural lighting and the separation of study and recreation areas. The author notes that the creation of a specialized educational place helps to improve concentration, effective time management and the formation of sustainable learning habits, which together has a positive effect on academic performance. The article also discusses theoretical models and performance criteria reflecting the influence of both students’ personal characteristics and external factors such as family support and the socio-economic environment. Summarizing the research results, it can be concluded that academic performance depends on internal and external factors. External motivation and optimization of conditions play an important role in improving academic performance. Creating a quality workspace at home helps improve concentration, time management, and the formation of study habits. Thus, the organizational aspects of the home workspace are a key external motivating factor for improving the academic performance of schoolchildren.
