Abstract. This article examines the growing role of digital technologies in transforming philanthropy as a catalyst for interaction between government, business and civil society in the context of contemporary socio-political changes. In recent decades, information and communication technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, have become important tools to promote transparency and efficiency of philanthropic organizations. The research aims to analyze the impact of digital technologies on philanthropic practices, including donor recruitment and retention, and the assessment of intra-organizational effectiveness. The work articulates key research questions about the role of technology in improving operations and donor engagement, and the challenges of integrating them. Using a variety of methodological approaches, the authors draw on empirical data from reports and analyses, as well as personal experience interacting with nonprofit organizations. The presidential decree on digitalization until 2030 highlights the relevance of the topic in the Russian context. Digitalization of charity and volunteering opens up new opportunities for attracting resources and increasing the effectiveness of social initiatives.

However, it is important to take into account possible negative consequences and take measures to minimize them. Following the proposed recommendations, charitable organizations will be able to adapt to new conditions and use modern technologies to achieve their goals. This will not only contribute to the development of the charity sector itself, but will also help to solve social problems more effectively, providing real help to those who need it.
