Abstract. The issue raised in the scientific article «State Educational Policy and Fundamental Challenges of the Future» is relevant and topical, it is a short but sufficient issue for understanding and debate. The paper analyzes the state educational policy, the conditions necessary for the transformation of the university community. Attention is focused on the current state of development of society, the positions and opinions of various scientists are studied, taking into account the socio-cultural and political life of our society in the context of the problem raised. A personal position is expressed regarding the phenomenon under study, scientific tasks are formulated for further disclosure of the raised research topic. The article states the inevitability of accelerated changes in the educational space and the digital environment of education. The article states the need for an accelerated transition from an analog economy to a digital economy, in the face of future challenges, notes the lack of conceptual theories and methods of socio-political forecasting that describes future scenarios for the university education system and society as a whole, the state when the outdated scientific and methodological apparatus does not allow large-scale describe and project the state of the future society. An attempt has been made to generalize the current state of the phenomenon under consideration and to offer original conclusions that reflect an individual approach and the author’s position in relation to the analyzed process. The article focuses on the need for network interaction of university communities in the context of the expansion of platform technologies for interaction, the formation of partnerships with organizations of advanced scientific and technological thought. The conclusions drawn and the proposals formulated in the work will help to compare the picture of the studied object of study in the future, which will help in the future to develop tools for conducting quantitative and qualitative empirical research.
