Abstract. The article «Democratic Transition in Eurasian Integration» is a short but sufficient question for understanding and debate. The author of the article highlights studies carried out in the field of political science, which analyze the evolution of political systems in the Eurasian countries and the role of democratic factors in integration processes. The article analyzes the mechanisms of democratic transition as the main factor in the formation of stable political systems in the countries of the region in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union. The purpose of the study is to determine the dynamics and current state of democratization processes in the Eurasian Economic Union as a supranational entity. The study used methods of secondary analysis, content analysis. The source base of the study was scientific publications, media materials, reports of monitoring centers. In the course of the study, it was determined that the Eurasian Economic Union member states have reached a certain level of democratization since 1991, but the current trends in democratization processes in them are currently multidirectional; At the same time, the Eurasian Economic Union itself as a whole, as a supranational entity, was founded (in 2014) and is developing on the basis of democratic principles. The article also describes the main obstacles and challenges faced by countries seeking to go through the process of democratic transition, and also analyzes the role of political institutions, public organizations and the population in the formation of democratic values and norms in the Eurasian states. In conclusion, the author notes that despite the multidirectional democratization processes in the Eurasian Economic Union member states, this institution as a whole has been developing on the basis of democratic principles since its foundation and demonstrates positive dynamics, which makes the Eurasian Economic Union attractive for additional states to join it.
