Sports in the context of global informatization

Abstract. The article deals with the use of information technologies and different digital services for sports and physical education. The study presents such parameters as the level of involvement of the population in sports, the level of use of digital services for such activities. The advantages and disadvantages of information technology in the field of physical education are identified. The subject of the study is predominantly young students in the Russian Federation. The aim of the work is to determine how global informatization affects the development of sports and physical culture. The study surveyed 74 people through an online survey. The results of the study showed the percentage of the population’s involvement in regular sports activities, determined the percentage of using information technology for activities, as well as the reasons for such use or non-use. The results obtained can be used to keep statistics and can also be advisory in solving the problem of increasing digital resources in sport and physical education. The novelty of the study is determined by the approach and format of the data analysis. The conclusions of this work show the degree of readiness of society to informatization in sport, as well as people’s interest in such digital resources.
